What’s On My Mind! Let’s Ban Viagra.

What’s On My Mind! Viagra

A Tale of Preserving Freedoms except for Women’s Reproductive Rights.

Keep those babies a-comin”’, but we won’t help you feed them.

Women hating Women.
Women hatin’ Women

If any drug should be banned, it’s Viagra—too many old men in positions of power smellin’ themselves. And too many women (young and old) find the scent intoxicating. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), Colorado Representative Lauren Boebert.  Iowa’s Republican attorney general Breena Bird put a hold on a longtime policy of paying for emergency contraception and, in some cases, abortions for sexual assault victims among them. Ms. Farmgirl is about saving the unborn, even the possibilities unconceived. Yet she fought against Obamacare. They seem to have become caught up in the rapture of these old boys.

California, Washington State, and Massachusetts stockpiling misoprostol poised to become unavailable in the U.S. Perhaps women should collect some of these pills themselves. Ask for a prescription, and use it as necessary, like an asthma inhaler or an emergency pill for a seizure. The price isn’t high. With a coupon, you can get it for under $5.

Viagra is a brand-name sildenafil drug that doctors can prescribe to treat erectile dysfunction (ED). Viagra can start at $70 per dose, but the generic version, sildenafil, can cost as little as $2. Don’t get me wrong; I don’t wish ED on any man.

However, it seems that in the last few years, we are seeing too many old men sticking their noses in Women’s business when they should know better. I also am not opposed to them staying active. Where I draw the line is when they overstep their boundaries. And why do I never hear these same men promoting vasectomies?

That certainly would help to prevent unwanted pregnancies. And, when they are ready to become fathers, they can easily have them undone. And, journalists, how about we ask men focused on this issue if they currently use or have ever used these dream pills?  I’d also like to know if they are doing their part or did they do their part to stop unwanted pregnancies.

Keeping Nazism Alive in America.

Nazi Dinner Party.
Nazi Dinnerware.

Bet you didn’t know there are still auctions for collectors of Third Reich dinner napkins, etc. Clarence Thomas eats elaborate dinners on his wealthy right-wing Nazi friend’s dinnerware embossed with swastikas. He’s in trouble because he failed to disclose years of luxury trips he received from a billionaire donor, according to a report by ProPublica. I also have to admit I didn’t know there were Black Nazis.

Livin’ it up, Clarence.

Job doesn’t pay enough, then quit.

The omissions appear to violate a financial disclosure law that requires justices — as well as federal judges, members of Congress, and other officials — to disclose most gifts, the nonprofit news organization said on Thursday. I’m not surprised when I hear anything negative about this man.”One of the most conservative U.S. Supreme Court Justices, Clarence Thomas, on Friday, defended luxury trips he has taken over decades, funded by real estate magnate and Republican donor Harlan Crow, saying he had been advised that he was not required to report this type of “personal hospitality” under federal rules”(Reuters)

The only problem is that he did know, initially reporting these things and then stopping. He’s been under scrutiny for years now. I believe he should resign. It would, after all, give him and his wife more time to party and less time to mess up what remaining rights Women have over their bodies.

Professor Anita F. Hill testifies before the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee on the confirmation of Judge Clarence Thomas to be an associate justice of the U.S. Supreme Court on Oct. 11, 1991, in Washington, D.C. (Arnie Sachs/CNP/Zuma Press/TNS)

Remember when what any Black woman said in America was seen as a lie?

Professor Anita Hill? In 1991 she testified before Congress about the sexual harassment she said she had experienced while she was an aide to Clarence Thomas, a Supreme Court nominee (at the time) who had been her supervisor at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Back then, the word “sexual harassment” was even mentioned. Women feared speaking up.

More Black & Brown people, mainly men, support Trump for President in 2024.

A recent poll of conservative voters found that Black and Brown voters who lean Republican are firmly behind former President Donald Trump as the preferred candidate for the 2024 presidential election. David Dent from the Daily Beast writes, “The number screamed at me, and I actually wanted to yell back at The Washington Post exit poll, or, more specifically, those Minnesota Black male voters who comprised what, initially, looked like a glaring typo. In the state of George Floyd, which helped trigger another national awakening to the horror of police treatment of Blacks, 30 percent of Black male voters did the unthinkable. They voted for Donald Trump. It topped all the other states in the poll, with Nevada running second at 21 percent. I looked again, shaking my head.” I’m with David; what the hell is going on?

Who voted to overturn Roe v. Wade?

I am so sad that this happened. I am glad I’m well past the age when I even have to worry about getting pregnant. I remember covering protests to pass Roe as a reporter for Equal Times Newspaper in Boston decades ago. Now they’ve moved on to get rid of medications used for abortions, and the next ones will be birth control.

Justices appointed by Republican presidents voted to overturn the landmark abortion-rights ruling. These are:

  • Samuel Alito
  • Clarence Thomas
  • Neil Gorsuch
  • Brett Kavanaugh
  • Amy Coney Barrett
