GET THE “STUPID” COVID VACCINE OR STAY YOUR ASS AT HOME!

You have got to be kidding’ me!

As if we don’t have enough to worry about, passengers are attacking people on airplanes, and shooting store clerks. Why? Because they were told to put on a mask? Maybe instead of flight attendants showing them what to do in the event of a water landing say, “If you refuse to wear your mask you will be jettisoned from the airplane”. And let them figure out what to do with themselves on the way down. Or we could show complainers videos so they can see how much spit comes out our mouths when they talk. Dear Goddess, I think I might wear a mask forever after seeing one of those.

Masks Over  Money, Really?

And, what’s this? I hear about Ice Cube dropping out from the movie “Oh Hell No!” because the producers want everyone working on the film to be vaccinated. I say, “Oh hell no!” to Mr. Cube. Stay your ass home, watch your old music videos and movies, and don’t go to the hospital if you should catch COVID, which I certainly hope you don’t; get COVID.

I can see walking away when you are getting burned on a contract, aka Dave Chappell but, over a vaccine? Nah.. I’ll take the shot. Or better yet, with your bad self, who can afford to walk away from a 9 million dollar contract or all that money you made on the mask-up T-shirts to promote mask-wearing over a shot.

I support COVID Vaccine mandates. How come?

Over my lifetime, I’ve had probably had so many vaccinations I have lost count. Other than the required ones, if I wanted to travel out of the country I certainly didn’t want to get deathly sick.  Plan to travel to Africa? Or any other continent. If you want to survive, better fill up your vac card before getting on that plane.

The six degrees of stupidity.

I ran across this article by Ali Clark entitled, “Understanding dumbness, the six degrees of stupidity” It seems in the case of refusing COVID vaccines they might be right.

Stupidity by birth.

Circumstantial stupidity.

 Instantaneous stupidity.

Peer Pressure stupidity.

Bureaucratic stupidity.

Generational stupidity

What Are You Afraid Of?

In the last year I was poked for Flu, pneumonia, shingles, and whatever else I was due for. Now, I don’t have much control over how I’m going to die but, at least I hope it won’t be from something I didn’t have to die for, like refusing to get a stupid flu shot. Take a trip anywhere on the African or Asian continent or anywhere else outside of the U.S.

Tell me you won’t get extra vaccinations or take malaria pills and even take a rabies shot on a safari.  Go ahead, I dare you.I didn’t get a rabies shot but, there I was living in a village with goats, sheep,  wild dogs and hundreds of cats along with riding and visiting camels markets and horses.

Speaking of unvaccinated cats. Eating lunch at the American University on a break I was surrounded by wild cats just waiting for me to drop something on the ground. First time I’ve ever been afraid of cats.

You’ll also need shots for;

Chickenpox

Diphtheria-Tetanus-Pertussis

Flu

Measles-Mumps-Rubella

Polio

Shingles

Cholera

Hepatitis  A & B

Meningoccoccal

Rabies. If you’ll be around dogs or wildlife. (Do Camels count?)

Typhoid

Yellow Fever

And again,  don’t forget your Malaria pills.

Step into my time machine and experience some of these pandemics.

Want a bed?

I have to get a vaccine so you don’t have to?

That is not fair. Not fair at all.

Think people who died from during this pandemic would have passed on a vaccine?  Except for the one in 1793, my oldest known relatives lived many of them.  And,  I’m sure when vaccines finally came out, they were not the first ones in line to get them. Why? Because Black folks were the last to get vaccines of any kind. Or medicines, period.

When Black folks use the Tuskegee Experiments to justify not getting the COVID shots it  pisses me off. In fact, those men were denied vaccinations not given them. Nothing is worse than shooting off your mouth when you are only parroting misinformation. Especially when you can Google it. You don’t even have to go to the library anymore. In fact, raise your hand if you’ve never been in a library.

The Tuskegee Experiment.

It began in 1932, the year my mother was born. At the time, there was no known treatment for syphilis, a contagious venereal disease. After being recruited with the promise of free medical care, 600 African American men in Macon County, Alabama, were enrolled in the project to study the entire progression of the disease.

The participants were primarily sharecroppers. My Great-Grandfather fled a sharecropper life, another form of slavery, in Alabama and went to North Carolina. Doctors from the U.S. Public Health Service (PHS), running the study, informed the “399 men with latent syphilis and a control group of 201 others who were free of the disease being treated for ‘bad blood, a term commonly used in the area at the time to refer to a variety of ailments.” Many of the men had never before visited a doctor.

Treatment Withheld

“The men were monitored by health workers but only given placebos such as aspirin and mineral supplements, even though penicillin became the recommended treatment for syphilis in 1947, some 15 years into the study. PHS researchers convinced local physicians in Macon County not to treat the participants, and instead, research was done at the Tuskegee Institute.”

Ultimately, the men were denied highly effective treatment for their condition (most egregiously, penicillin, which became standard of care by the mid-1940s) and were actively discouraged from seeking medical advice from practitioners outside the study. “

This “We’re being used as a guinea pig excuse is tiresome.”

I’ll admit it. I’m really am stumped when it comes to Black people fighting vaccination. Although it is a known recorded fact that more of us are dying from COVID disproportionately than any other racial group in America to say the least. And, when I hear some (especially young folks) bring up the Tuskegee Experiment without truly knowing what it was or how it has nothing to do with COVID but, denying health care and how I want to scream.

As my son put it in a recent discussion, “We are not so special”, and there are a multitude of ways to wipe us out if the government wants to. Looks to me like we’re doing a pretty good  job on eliminating ourselves.

GO READ YOUR HISTORY!!!! Black folks, you are the “experiment” because there is no one like us on the entire planet, and the world is still trying to figure out why we are still here and thriving. Over the past year, COVID-19 has disproportionately affected Black people in the United States, theGrio reported.

NPR notes that Black people in the nation’s capital have been hit the hardest since the onset of the pandemic. Did it ever occur to these “disbelievers” that they are being duped into not getting the vaccination to kill us all out? Hmm, interesting.

Denied Access to Healthcare

Right now, in Arizona overall, 3,856,438 people, or 52% of Arizona’s population, have been fully vaccinated. What we have here is an 80 percent White population. They are getting vaccinated.

Now, if that’s not an excuse for dumb-asses protesting to get one, I don’t know what will. Think about it. Whenever you see rats running or swarms of birds flying away, what does that tell you? Time to get in line and get your medicine, right?

What is the worse thing that will happen to you? As for privacy, if you haven’t figured out by now that you have none, then you are truly confused. None of us has privacy.

I Support Mandatory COVID vaccines. Why?

Because, I wanna’ go to the gym without a mask on.

Now, because folks don’t want to wear a mask or get the vaccination, I am expected to wear one to protect you. What a bunch of hypocrites. Weren’t you a Trump supporter and his “Platinum Plan”? That boy was first in line even before those vaccines came off the line. And, what the hell is with the “no comments”? It’s your choice but enlighten us. Why are you afraid of a shot in the arm? And, why are you afraid to disclose it?

I want those cards to be official, just like driver’s licenses or passports, so we know they’re not Trump-fake ones. Or hire some Cyber Ninjas with those U.V. light “thingies” used to count Maricopa county ballots three times to prove he won the Presidential Election in Arizona. He lost three times in Arizona, you know. They also used those “thingies” to scan for Chinese bamboo fibers or watermarks at all access points.

Anybody know of a gym were everyone is required to be vaccinated?

Guess I’ll have to move back to Boston.

After the restrictions were lifted, I did give it a try if they followed some health protocols. I almost passed out under that mask. Even worse, my coach told me she refused to be vaccinated. I asked why and she countered that it would cause her to become infertile. (Not true, by the way. )How she could advocate for my health yet be unwilling to protect her own. How can she support better health for me yet reluctant to defend her own and mine when you come within 6 feet of me?

Like many people, I am not good at working out alone at home. The truth is I do better with encouragement. I tried those walking videos sometimes with the walking lady on tv and some walks through cities in Italy, Japan, and other places around the world. Even got my 14-year-old Granddaughter to do it with me over Zoom.

For an entire year, I went to Curves every day except Sunday. It’s small, with a circuit and a coach there to keep you going and ensure you use the equipment correctly. Besides that, it felt like a sisterhood, something I’d lost since moving from my life from California to Arizona.  I had just gotten my body in shape when COVID came to town.

Since I stopped going to the gym my ass is wider, my knees hurt and some of my other health conditions have returned. And, my stress levels went way up.  And, don’t go telling me what I should do. I already know that. And I’m sad because I learned the gym I loved going to had to close. So even if I could go back it’s part of my past.

If you wanna’ come inside:

Show your card.

Get your eyeball scanned.

Stay six feet away.

And do not talk.

No vaccine  then stay at HOME and ISOLATE!

You don’t want something put into your body. Cool. It’s your choice but, don’t put your germs into my air.

What could possibly be wrong with you people?

First, even the Vets required us to slide our sick animals through a slot to avoid exposure. OK, I’m exaggerating but, you couldn’t go inside. Secondly, we are still learning about this virus. Secondly, people can spread it to their animals. So, if you don’t care about other humans and are an animal lover, spare them. And, thirdly, let me excuse myself while I heat up my coffee in the microwave for the second time. And finally, let me check my e-mail, put in my “cut the noise out” AirPods, and turn up the volume on my computer. In conclusion, are any of these really safer than getting COVID?

Mask Mandate: Wear a Mask.

What a drama queen.  But, it’s a mask, right?

A man wears a Ku Klux Klan hood in a Vons supermarket in Santee, Calif. (Tiam Tellez). Appeared in the Washington Post.

My advice: Read Your History.
